Independent Living
Your Home. Your Life. Your Choice.
At Eden Care Support Services, we believe independent living means having choice, control and the right support to live life on your terms. We work with you to understand your goals, routines and preferences, building a support team that helps you feel safe, comfortable and confident at home.
Whether you need ongoing daily assistance, temporary accommodation while your long-term home becomes ready, or a short respite stay, we’ll help you explore options that suit your needs and NDIS plan.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Our SIL services provide assistance and supervision with everyday tasks for people who need substantial support at home. We tailor your supports to help you build independence while respecting your choices, privacy and dignity.
Support may include:
- Personal care and daily routines.
- Meal preparation and household tasks.
- Building practical skills and confidence.
- Overnight assistance, according to your assessed needs.
- Support to participate in your community.
SIL can be provided in a shared home or your own home, depending on your needs and funding. SIL funds the support you receive; Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a separate housing option for eligible participants with very high support needs or extreme functional impairment.
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)
A supportive place while your long-term home becomes ready.
MTA provides eligible participants with temporary accommodation, generally for up to 90 days, while they wait for their confirmed long-term housing or disability-related supports to be ready.
Eden Care can help you explore available accommodation and coordinate your ongoing supports, helping you maintain familiar routines during the transition.
Short Term Respite — Previously Short Term Accommodation (STA)
A short break with the support you need.
Short Term Respite gives eligible participants time apart from their usual care arrangements while their family or other informal carers take a break from their caring role. Our team works with you to plan a comfortable, supported stay that respects your routines, preferences and personal care needs.
Let’s Find the Right Support for You
Your next step starts with a conversation. Contact Eden Care to discuss your goals, NDIS funding and current accommodation and support options.
Services are subject to availability, individual eligibility and the supports funded through your NDIS plan.
